Oil on Canvas 3 x 4′
The inspiration for this work comes from industrial processes. Raw materials are dug out of the earth and smoke stacks send altered particles that have lived underground for millennia into the sky. This mixing-bowl approach to the elements, landscape and atmosphere drives our technological advancements. We have become so adept at communicating via radio waves, wifi-signals and over long distances. This painting of a ruined landscape depicts human cognition moving to the skies where brain synapses communicate via lightning – the earthly landscape as macrocosm of the human brain.
