I draw and paint on nautical charts that were used on my parents’ sailboat, Sampatecho. I research the flora and fauna found there be it native or introduced. Plants and animals can be a symbol for the movement of people across time and space. Most introduced species to an area are there because of our interest in the species or our carelessness with seeds on our feet or animals in our care.
