If this plant disappears, so does the monarch butterfly. It is critical habitat. The monarch can lay eggs on no other plant.

I made this paper from the leaves, pods, silk and seeds of the common milkweed plant, plus some pages from a Canadian atlas and a book called “weeds of Canada” and of course SEEDS.
I want to help spread this plant far and wide.
It was almost eradicated, because of its toxicity to livestock, but it is critical for the survival of another species.
You can plant at home, or populate a neglected area with it.
Prefers full Sun!
Must be laid on the earth in the winter. Requires 30 days off below zero temperature to germinate!

We can draw a parallel between seed dispersal and language. Between roots and language. Between the movement of people and the variety of plant species we find here.
