bio

Interdisciplinary Fine Arts (MFA) from Florida State University, 2012 and BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCADu) Halifax,  2004. Studied charcoal/chalk drawing, & acrylic and oil painting at the Centre Culturelle de Sophia-Antipolis in France.

Based in Toronto where drawing on nautical charts, or large scale charcoal drawings, as a freelance graphic designer, and as an educator at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University. A member and founder of the collective Analog Analogue who collaborate on site-specific installation work for museums, galleries and art fairs in the United States and Canada. Highlights include Nuit Blanche in Toronto (2013) Grace Exhibition Space in Brooklyn (2013), the Fountain Art Fair in NYC (spring 2014). In NYC we curated the performance art stage and have exhibited at Fountain in Miami during Art Basel. Analog Analogue were included in the 2015 exhibition Making NOW: Open for Exchange at the Museum of Fine Art (MoFA) in Tallahassee, FL and our work was featured on the catalogue cover.

Echo was a resident artist for the Youth Council at the Art Gallery of Ontario in the fall of 2013. In collaboration with artist Mary Tremonte and Syrus Ware we exhibited our work at Eksperimenta! (the largest international youth contemporary art triennial) held in Estonia in the fall of 2014.

  • Bronze place “China through your eyes” International Art competition through the ISU and Ohio University, April 24th 2007
  • Mackie Cryderman Award, Fanshawe College, London ON $500 Grant for a collaborative Drawing/ Painting Project, Summer 2000
  • “Taraxacum Officionale” has been published as cover art for a the Southeast Review and inside as a 4 page fold-out.
